Three months ago, we told you about unionized bakery workers at Stella D’Oro in
New York City who’d been on strike for ten months. We asked you to send
messages of protest to the private equity company that had purchased their
factory and you did so in your thousands.
In July, those workers ended their strike and returned to work. The owners
responded by announcing that they would close the factory in another 90 days.
A few days ago, they revealed that they’d sold the brand to a North
Carolina-based company.
The union has been fighting hard to defend its members’ jobs and once again
they need our help. They’ve set up an online campaign in a last ditch effort
to save good union jobs. Please take a moment to send off your message:

Thanks very much for your help. Please spread the word.
