Many prominent film-makers and others are supporting Mohammad Bakri, a Palestinian citizen of Israel and one of the country’s most well known documentary filmmakers and actors. He is being harassed by the Israeli government for making the film Jenin Jenin. His right to free speech must be supported and the Israeli government must be made accountable.

Filmmakers are nominating him for an award they are calling the Free Speech Bear Award at the Berlin International Film Festival to call attention to his story. A petition has been launched online at http://bit.ly/DefendBakri.
