It’s estimated that about 10 000 people died in Britain last year because they could not afford to stay warn. Hundreds of thousands more are forced by benefit cuts to choose between heating their home and feeding themselves and their family. Speaking at the Ecosocialism – Fracking, Climate and Revolution conference in London on June 7th hosted by Socialist Resistance and Revolutionary Socialism in the 21st Century, Clare Welton of Fuel Poverty Action described how campaigners are proposing practical steps to end this scandal. Ecology is definitely at the heart of what they do.
